As we continue to grow, we are searching for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team at Wayne Gates Mercedes Benz
The successful candidate will have significant experience and confidence with a self-sufficient approach to fault finding and diagnostics with at least 10 years’ experience as a vehicle technician.

Vehicle Technician Job Role
Accurately and skilfully undertake the diagnosis process
Ensure repairs and servicers of all motor vehicles are carried out to manufacturers procedures and in a safe and responsible manner
Road test vehicles to test repair work is complete
Perform service checks and advise on findings
Complete vehicle maintenance tasks, such as changing maintenance items, as required
Complete work to a high standard, adhering to procedures and processes
Be confident and professional in your approach whilst being efficient and always aiming for a first-time fix
When needed interact directly with customers to explain vehicle findings and the corrective action taken or report findings to Manager
Keep your working bay, ramp and company equipment clean and tidy, being conscious of Health and Safety in the workshop
Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your manager.
Required Skills & Experience
A minimum of 10 years current experience as a vehicle Technician is essential
Significant experience and confidence with a self-sufficient approach to fault finding and diagnostics is essential
Previous Mercedes Benz experience ideal
Qualified to at least NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3
Significant vehicle repair experience is essential
Must have own tools
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
